Can you ONLY use ebooks from Amazon on the Amazon Kindle?
I know Amazon has a huge option of ebooks available, but I’m wondering, if I purchase the new Amazon Kindle am I limited to what’s available on Amazon.com or can I download books from any source and store them in the Kindle? If so, does anyone have any useful websites that have reasonably priced ebooks besides Amazon? Just wondering what my limitations are.

Physical books that you previously purchased from Amazon, can you download these for free for your Kindle? Or do you have to repurchase them? I know you can download your Kindle books to any supported Kindle device, but what about books you had mailed to you?
