Flash is very unstable. You don’t want that on an smartphone/netbook cross hybrid system.
The iPad is not aimed at you nor I. It’s aimed at the general public that simply wants to use one Application for one specific purpose at a time.
Allowing multi-task and high processing power usage would drain it’s battery extremely fast and this is something that would go against a portable device.
Most netbooks offer 5 hours battery life. The iPad offers double that and possibly more.
free 3g, tis hard to say. I Pad, over hyped, agreed, Giant Ipod touch, btw subbed
the whole keyboard with a computer in it…. and it just attaches to a monitor….. i think that’s a laptop
Flash is disappearing with HTML5, which the iPad supports so…
laloo keyboard comp FTW!!!! :l
why do you want to multitask and flash is unstable and unrelible
Eric, its your old roomate. Awesome mario cart analogy. Awesome ipad review. 5 stars.
Eric, your nerd is showing.
My mom gets facebook, hence why I’m still scared.
Loved the Obama/Mario Kart bit thats brilliant.
I kinda glad that my mum aint on Facebook. She doesnt like the idea.
Just keep your mom away from Farmville and stuff like that and she’ll be fine. My mom is on Facebook as well, but rarely uses it, but I think it’s b/c she forgot her password and can’t find it in her box of passwords.
As far as the iPad, if I get anything like that it’ll probably be a non-Apple device that improves on the features or includes things (like multi-tasking, camera, and not needing AT&T for internet)…kinda like the Droid phones and such.
I agree with everything you said about the iPad. I’ll stick with my iPhone, thanks!
My mom’s on facebook too. I don’t mind at all. I’m kind of proud of how far she’s come with using the computer. I remember teaching her to double click. Also, as a future teacher I have to be really careful with my online identity. Having my mom on facebook is a good reminder to keep things appropriate.

Very informative about the iPad. I wasn’t planning on getting one, but the flaws you pointed out definately would have made me rethink buying it.
And my mom is also on facebook, although she uses it mostly for Farmville.
i also have a mother on facebook. though, like yours, she has no idea what’s going on. and yeah, i don’t want the ipad. why wouldn’t they put in a camera? how stupid.
agreed. on all three parts.
I learned that my mom had joined facebook because in my recent activity it said “Emily has become friends with Dawn Armstrong” or whatever. I was like….wait, since when does my mom know how to use a computer well enough to hack into my fb account? Turns out, I left myself logged in at her house and she got confused and somehow serendipitously befriended herself.
And I don’t want an iPad if it isn’t essentially a computer. I want to use photoshop and draw straight ont he screen.
I kinda admire you for comparing it all to Mario Kart Wi. Rockin!
my mom’s on facebook too. Kinda odd.
I’m not sure if I want an iPad yet.
Love this.
It really told me what I needed to know about the ipad without reading a bunch of stuffs.
Thanks!
Hahahaha, the first minute or so is hilarious ^_^
