    He’s a Jackass! Probably has no idea what a book is. …LOL

    This guy doesn’t know what he is talking about, iPhone OS 4.0 is coming to iPad in the fall – with multitasking – and you can use the camera connection kit to connect to a camera via USB or SD card.

    I really don’t understand the purpose of the iPad. It’s expensive, it’s not a laptop, it’s pretty much like an iPhone/iPod touch but bigger, it supports books.. woo hoo.

    Why pay $500-$800 for an iPad, when you can actually physically buy a NOVEL and carry it around.. it will be cheaper, and surely you don’t read 2 or 3 books at the same time. Not to mention you have to pay for a data plan for an iPad.

    My point mainly, either KINDLE or BUY A FUCKIN’ BOOK.

    I would kill myself if I had to read books from the iPad. I love the e-ink feature of the kindle and other comparable devices. Unless the iPad comes way down in price, I am not getting one. Too many non-existent features that I would like to have.

    IPAD Should DO something ABOUT FLASH!!!!!
    FLASH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT AND MANY WEBSITES USE FLASH!!!
    Its a very Big DOWNSIDE for IPAD….
    Till that time stop comparing with near to NoteBOOK!!! please

    ” The downside to the Kindle DX is that there isn’t any support for movies”. Please God, tell me he just didn’t say that.

    Ur looking fucking scary….!

  17. johnmonk66 May 6, 2010 2:32 pm

    @youmils03 Glad you got it, lol. The Iphone is a 600 dollard device, the only reason people get them for 200 is because AT&T pays the difference if you sign a contract. But so far AT&T is not offering any plans for the Ipad, except the monthly no contract plan. But that is good too..get the minimum plan one month, the Ipad will warn you before you go over your limit, then you just upgrade. Or if you travel a lot, you can just pay for the 3g while on vacation and you need it

  18. youmils03 May 6, 2010 3:09 pm

    @johnmonk66 Your argument is stronger and more accurate than mine. I now understand your point. The phone company (AT&T) and Apple are not necessarily on the same “financial team”. So what’s best now is what you said; if you pay for 3G data on the iPad for 24 months (and of course the $629 at the beginning), AT&T should give you the $130 back (AFTER 24 months). Or at least, after 24 months, AT&T should discount the price of their 3G Network (ex: save 25% per month).

  19. johnmonk66 May 6, 2010 3:59 pm

    @youmils03 Apple is not charging 30 bucks a month, the phone company is, why should apple add hardware so the phone company can make money? If the phone company wants to, they can give you your 150 dollar discount when you sign a two year contract.
    Your point of view is invalid, why should I pay more for a luxury car when gas is more expensive for it? Lexus should sell cars as cheap as Kia because I will be spending more on gas…..see how it works yet? Your arguement makes no sense

  20. youmils03 May 6, 2010 4:02 pm

    @johnmonk66 Yes it does. It charges like $14.99 for 250MB of data or something like that.. and $30 for unlimited. But why pay this if I already pay $629 for the 3G Model at the beginning? Shouldn’t it be EITHER the $130 extra at the base price OR the monthly rates but NOT both?

  21. overvision May 6, 2010 4:03 pm

    @Tomoe1868 Hmnn… seems some BOOK READERS “do” support movies nowadays, as well as music and apps.
    I wonder if that’s what the phrase “Paradigm Shift” means?

  22. TheKevin9000 May 6, 2010 4:38 pm

    @ocbeach11

    Sorry I ran out of space listing all the ways netbooks are superior to the iPad.

    You can put your own media players, custom media codec packs, your own videos, your own software. No limits with what you can do or what programs you can install. Did I mention netbooks have Flash? Actual multitasking, a real keyboard. Netbooks have USB ports, HDMI ports, webcams, and mic’s for video chat.
    The final differance is that netbooks are 200$ to 500$ cheaper then an iPad.

  23. TheKevin9000 May 6, 2010 5:19 pm

    @ocbeach11

    This is bullshit, netbooks dont require maintenance. They have flash, they have longer battery life then an iPad. When you pay 500$ for a netbook you get a 320gb hard drive instead of 16gb’s with a 500$ iPad.

    Let me see what else is there…
    More powerfull CPU, more Ram, more storage space, Option of puting Windows XP, 7, linux or even OSX on it. Pinetrail netbooks get 11 to 14 hours bettery life,

  24. johnmonk66 May 6, 2010 5:46 pm

    I have an Ipad, it does everything I do when I am on the road. Web surfing and writing. But this guy is an idiot saying the kindle does not support movies, it is an ebook reader. Why not point out that the ipad and kindle and netbooks will not drive your car for you too?

  25. johnmonk66 May 6, 2010 6:12 pm

    @youmils03 You think it costs nothing to ass a 3g antenna? Apple doesn’t charge monthly rates
