Pad is not an e book reader! And you will find that out when you throw 500$ for a “fun” device, and after few months find out that you actually never read any book!
AMAZON KINDLE is the way to go for the real reading experience. iPad is just fun, time consuming machine!
They’re two completely different products. Saying that the ipad is better because of it’s internet, etc is stupid, because the kindle was never meant to do any of those things. It’s a device that allows you to read books with a screen that mimics paper and won’t be harsh on your eyes. The ipad has a bright screen. Try to read an entire book on a laptop screen. You’ll be sorry. I’ve strained my eyes and caused a lot of damage from being on a computer for several hours a day.

Hmmm it looks like the iPad is about 1,000 times better than the Kindle, other than E-ink (possibly). So, for those who have a Kindle, does E-ink really allow you to read with less eye fatigue than on a back lit screen? If so, that would be the only reason I can see to justify buying one (and possibly book selection), that is if the price difference is not an issue. It would be interesting if the iPad could mimic the readability of E-ink. I don’t own either but the iPad looks far superior.
