only if you’re going to read that many book. The only bad thing about these ebook reader is that you don’t get the warm feel of a real book.
Clearly it has to do with reinventing the way we read books, and nothing to do with storing your entire library on a handheld device.
Clearly.
IT IS.
Yes, but can you haul around your entire library? I suppose it’s really for people who read while they travel a lot, and not just at home. Or if you just read A LOT. Think about that, 1,500 books in that thing. That’s a small library; a wealth of information, in just over 10 ounces. I find that amazing.
yes, on the menu. I´ve heard :- )
It’s now only 299, but is it really worth the money?
Can you turn the wireless feature off?
The price is 299.00 and 10$ for a book that usually cost 30$.
Flagged as mass advertising.
Nice work. keep it up. mean time come for social media marketing for esteembpo**com fhfgh
is it just me or is this a superfluous form of technology? 400 bucks to recreate the way that paper looks on a screen.
“it reads like real paper”- ha
the thiness is good but can’t u just haul around a reg book
This is supposed to be great, though everything has cons! It is annoying that they don’t sell it in the UK, though it is also over 300 in the US. I do wish the price was lower, but I guess I have to deal.
first: the kindle 2 doesn’t sell in the UK not even on Amazon!!! How dumb is that? idiots! Second it will cost more than £300 when they do finally sell it in the UK and it shouldn’t even be more than £200. Third. The Kindle has no backlight and neither does the Sony 700. Pathetic. Fouth. If a company like Samsung gets their fingers out their ass pretty soon they’ll look at the flaws of the Kindle 2 and the Sony 700 and make a far superior product at a much lower price.
this homemade commersial is sooo 2007.

arent there any pictures in text books?
nope.
and they don’t have textbooks.
It would be so awesome if I could have my textbooks in kindle… I would get it instantly.
But then, most textbooks have a lot of pictures and require colors especially if it’s something like math or physics textbook… still, it’s a great possibility.
It would be also great if I can download mangas in kindle. Its size is perfect for manga reading. Plus, mangas are black and white except for the cover anyway….
If those two things were done, I would get kindle without a second thought.
Gah! If it was 200 dollars I could get it for my birthday!!
I took the plung and got one.. I never leave home without it and use it everyday. The 3G wireless rules, even more due to the fact that there is no monthly fee. I live in an urban jungle so wireless signal is full bars always. I buy books while on the beach. Can’t beat it.
…pictures duh
I kind of want one but two problems: 1) Most of the area of the country (including where I live) isn’t covered by Whispernet (aka Sprint). and 2) Given #1 it’s too expensive.
Come up with one that’s say $100 (or maybe even just $50) cheaper and uses 802.11b/g and I’m probably a buyer. Or come up with one that works on AT&T’s network.
